Fueling speculation that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is going to throw her hat into the GOP primary ring, she released a video on Friday hinting that she may be a presidential candidate this year.
The video was released by the former Vice Presidential candidate’s political action committee. The video, embedded below, highlights her appearance at the Iowa State Fair last weekend. The title of the video is “Iowa passion.” She also notes that she will be visiting the state once again next month, where she will give a speech at the Restoring America Rally, a Tea Party-backed organization in Indianola, Iowa on September 3.
Palin made appearances in Iowa last weekend to try and overshadow the Ames debate and straw poll, many critics say. While many have questioned whether she is actually going to run, the latest video released by her PAC is fueling speculation that she hinting at it.
Karl Rove, the former George W. Bush administration political advisor, believes that Palin will indeed run for president around Labor Day, or perhaps at her next Iowa appearance on Sept. 3. Palin “has a schedule next week that looks like that of a candidate, not a celebrity,” Rove said Saturday during his FOX News appearance.
If true, many believe she will instantly join the top tier field of Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Michele Bachmann. She will also join the likes of Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Jon Huntsman, Herman Cain, and Ron Paul.
