US Birds & Fish Dying Connected To Unlucky ‘Lost’ Lottery Numbers?

Written by Michael Lambarde on Jan. 07, 2011

The Mega Millions Lotto draw witnessed countrywide participation from the enthusiastic lot and the two winners, from Washington and Idaho who are going to get $81 million after the tax deductions, it has been reported. About 40,000 winners who got $150 chose 4 of the numbers from “Lost,” the hit ABC show. The same numbers were selected by Hugo “Hurley” Reyes aka Jorge Garcia who was a cast member of the hit TV series. In the series, he essayed the role of an unlucky lotto winner. While the Mega Million Lotto winners are rejoicing their win, the actor is far from amused. He has vented his ire online in his blog. The actor wrote that the numbers are bad and he titled the blog as “When Will People Learn?”

In ‘Lost,’ the numbers that were picked by the Lotto winners were also used in several contexts and they have ominous connotations. It is not known whether the numbers are really bad or not. However, in ‘Lost’ at least they did affect the life of Hugo “Hurley” Reyes in a negative way. He won the fictional jackpot in ‘Lost’ only to discover later that it brought him bad luck. His house got burnt and the cops mistook him as a drug dealer.

It seems that there are a section of people who think on the same lines as actor Jorge Garcia about these so-called unlucky numbers. Some readers who read the post said that the winners won the lottery on the same week thousands of birds and fish died mysteriously in Arkansas and Louisiana.
