Jon Cryer, 45, the former Two and a Half Men co-star of Charlie Sheen, went on TBS’ Conan on Thursday and echoed the statements that Sheen called him. “This is very painful for me, not the least of which … I’m sorry, I can’t believe I’m saying this … The fact is, I am a troll,” Cryer admitted on the show. He added, “It’s not something I like to talk about. My parents don’t even know I’m a troll. Of course, I guess they do now.”
The statements came after Sheen’s bizarre rants over the past few weeks, in which he finally ranted on his former co-star, calling him a “traitor” and a “troll” for not calling him to support him while he was in hot water with CBS and Warner Brothers for lashing out at Chuck Lorre, an executive producer of Men.
During his Conan appearance, he continued, “The truth is, there’s not a lot of tolerance for people like me, especially in Hollywood. To avoid ignorance and bullying, I’ve had to hide the fact that I’m a troll. … You have no idea how much time and money I’ve spent on electrolysis and hair dye and reconstructive surgery.”
Cryer broke his silence for the first time this past Thursday night. He hasn’t said much since the Sheen train wreck reared its ugly head, and instead decided to approach the situation with a sense of humor. Cryer ended his response at Sheen with the following words: “It gets better. Not gay better, but sorta better.”
