It was announced late last month that reality television star Kim Kardashian will be marrying NBA Nets star Kris Humphries, and as we announced previously, Kardashian and her family is already reportedly negotiating with E! plans to broadcast the network. Khloe, Kim’s sister, shortly after the engagement even called her sister’s wedding, which will take place later this summer, America’s version of the Royal Wedding.
It comes no surprise that Kardashian will want her wedding aired on television, as Khloe’s wedding back in 2009 drew 3.2 million, and a lot of insiders within the company tracking the wedding see Kim as a much bigger star than Khloe — which only means more viewers and more money for Kim. A source close to Ryan Seacrest’s production company gave more information about the upcoming nuptials: “[The wedding] will be a two-hour stand alone special. [Kim] is so used to having cameras follow her that she doesn’t even notice them any more. Kim really wants her fans to celebrate with her on the most important day of her life.”
A television executive added, “Kim’s wedding will be ratings gold…then we can look forward to the episode when she has a baby.” Indeed, it seems that Kardashian’s have been in the spotlight so much that the family will stoop to anything monetize everything that comes in their path — whether that includes the upcoming wedding on E!, Kim possibly having a baby in the future, and more.
