The former long-running drama series Dallas is returning to television. The series, which has been off the air since 1991, has found a cable home on TNT. The series, which started as a five-part miniseries and then was picked by CBS as a regular series in 1978, will star many members of the original cast, including Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, and Linda Gray.
Joining the series will include Jesse Metcalfe and Brenda Strong, both of which have appeared on ABC’s Desperate Housewives. The latter still narrates the series and often appears in flashbacks, if needed. Metcalfe perhaps earned his acting chops by portraying Eva Longoria’s gardener, John Rowland, in the first season.
TNT will be giving fans of the series an exclusive preview of the series by airing special sneak peaks during the season premieres of The Closer and Rizzoli & Isles. TNT, one of the leading networks on cable, has ordered 10 episodes of the iconic series.
