‘Social Network’ Star Armie Hammer Joins Julia Roberts In ‘Snow White’

The Social Network veteran Armie Hammer, who was once rumored to play Superman, has reportedly been cast to play Prince Andrew Alcott in the upcoming adaption of Snow White. As a result, Hammer now joins Julia Roberts — who will be playing the Evil Queen, and Saoirse Ronan. The movie is set to start shooting this upcoming May for a projected summer release in 2012.

Ronan had been originally projected to play the character of Snow White, but since she is 16-years-old and Hammer is 24-years-old, the 8-year difference in age is making others think that she will be cast as another character in the classic folktale. Currently, Hammer is shooting the movie J.Edgar starring Leonardo DiCaprio for director Clint Eastwood, which is also set to be released in 2012.
