Nigel Lythoge had predicted the winner of So You Think You Can Dance was going to come down between two people and he was right. The two finalists on the popular FOX broadcast ended up beign Sasha Mallory and Melanie Moore with Moore picking up the win and getting 47% of the nationwide vote. Mallory took home 32% of the votes.
Cat Deely, the host of the series, praised both of them. “You two are both exquisite dancers, you have both been amazing,” she said.
For Moore to win, though, it was hardly a secret that she had the edge considering that she was one of the favorites by the judges since the very early goings of the season. Mallory takes home a $250,000 prize as well as taking part in an upcoming energy campaign, not to mention the prestige of winning the competition.
Marko Germar, who made Lady Gaga cry during a dance when she guest hosted a few weeks back, ended up taking home third place, while Tadd Gadduang ended up taking fourth.
The top 10 dancers are expected to take part in a 32-city tour starting September 17th in Orlando. The tour will end November 2nd with a stop in San Diego.
