Sarah Palin Issues Statement On Giffords’ Shooting In Arizona

Former Alaska Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin has released a statement on the social media website Facebook, offering her prayers and condolences to the families of the victims of the tragic shooting in Tucson, Arizona yesterday morning at a local grocery store. On her official Facebook page, she wrote the following:

On the tragedy in Arizona

My sincere condolences are offered to the family of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and the other victims of today’s tragic shooting in Arizona.

On behalf of Todd and my family, we all pray for the victims and their families, and for peace and justice.

Ironically, Democrat Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, who was one of the targets of her political action committee SarahPAC (view the map here), was shot in the head and is currently in critical condition at a local hospital after emergency surgery.
