Usually the athletes have an edge on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. However one celebrity on the show this upcoming fall, NBA Lakers forward Ron Artest, says he likely isn’t going to go home with the mirrored ball trophy.
Instead, Artest believes that another fellow athlete, U.S. women’s soccer player Hope Solo, is likely going to go away as champion. “She’s gonna win. I don’t have a chance,” he told Access Hollywood.
Not only does he think that Solo is going to be his toughest competitor, but he also thinks that Rob Kardashian, the brother of Kim Kardashian, may eek out a win simply because of his last name as well as how powerful the Kardashian family is and how easy it is for Kim to reach out to her nearly 9.5 million Twitter followers.
“He’s Kim’s brother… He’s gonna get a million followers and Kim’s gonna tell him to win,” he said.
Artest, however, says he will be dancing on the show as a tribute to his daughter Diamond, who battled cancer when she was just four-years-old. “She asked me to do it, and I thought I could dance and raise some money for cancer research. I’m going to donate the profits,” he told People.
