Rihanna’s latest song is titled Fire Bomb, but she didn’t mean to literally set the arena on fire.. While she was on stage performing at a concert last night (July 8), a fire unintentionally broke out at the top of the stage of the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. A fan video, posted below, showed a small fire breaking out at the top of the stage with a few sparks falling to the ground. As a result, her concert was cut short and she did not return to the stage after the incident occurred.
After the concert, she took to Twitter to say the following: “Dallas!!! We set the stage on FYAH tonight!!! LITERALLY!!!…I was havin so much fun wit yall too!!! I gotta come back man!!” She later continued, “Dallas yall CRAY!!! Love this f***n place! Glad u guys are safe!!! I promise I’ll be back!!! Heading into a production meeting to find out exactly what happened!!! Keep u posted.”
According to those close to the concert, the fire apparently broke out from the pyrotechnics that were used during the concert. The arena was soon after evacuated and Rihanna left the stage safely. The fire was eventually extinguished, but the the fire department was called in anyway after the fire was gone. Rihanna is expected to return to the arena and perform in the future. There is no word at this point if people can claim a refund. Rihanna nor her fans were hurt, police say.
