Rapper T.I. Returns To Prison Due To Luxury Ride To Halfway House?

Written by Jessica Smith on Sep. 03, 2011

One day after T.I. was released from a maximum-security prison in Arkansas, the rapper is now once again behind bars. His attorney, Steve Sadow, says that his luxury ride from Arkansas to Atlanta was the reason why he was brought back into custody.

Federal authorities were apparently upset with the way T.I. traveled a 370-mile distance in the comfort of his luxury coach bus while his entourage followed behind him in black SUVs.

T.I.’s wife, Tameka Cottle, is now raising questions as to why her husband was called back. Cottle told TMZ that officials saw the tour bus that the rapper boarded on and didn’t raise any questions at the time, which is causing her to question the real reason her husband is once again locked up.

“This is a bunch of bulls**t,” she told the celebrity website. “They should have said something before he got on the bus … T.I. would have politely gotten into a van. T.I. is one of the strongest individuals I know … and they just trying to break him in more ways than one and it’s not gonna work! ‘Cause what God got for him, can’t no man take that away … period!”

The Live Your Life hitmaker was released Wednesday after spending 10 months in prison for violating his probation, allegedly for trying to purchase guns from undercover agents.

After his release, the hip-hop star tweeted, “Feels great to be back where I belong…Back in the arms of those who need me the most. The storm is over & da sun back out. IT’S OUR TIME TO SHINE SHAWTY!!!!! Welcome to the beginning of our Happy Ending!!!!”

Reports also surfaced that shortly after his release from prison, he began work on a VH1 reality series that was scheduled to start airing in December. The status of the series is now unknown, however, after it was ruled that cameras weren’t allowed to be in T.I.’s halfway house in Georgia. Plus, now that he is expected to be jailed until his original release date, September 29, it puts production on the series on halt for a little less than a month. Many are expecting the series to still air as expected, though the premiere may be delayed due to the unforeseen circumstances he has found himself in.

This is BS!!! WEhat difference does it make what he rode home in??? Is this America or some 3rd world country??

Lock his ass up and throw away the keys…

  • When, your in the prison system and agree to some sort of probation, your still effectively in their custody; so whatever they decide will be in their right to terminate your release. It could be anything and taking a luxury ride home instead of a volkswagon could be considered a “snub” at the system depending on the Hillbilly culture that holds the keys to your freedom.
It’s best to just do your time and put all your business plans on-hold until your “completely free and clear”. Remember, the guys probally hated for his wealth by the Hillbilly culture that he must be beholden to while he’s still effectively in-custody!
