Pub Owner Shocked By Kate Middleton & Prince William Wedding Invitation

John Haley, a pub owner was shocked when he was one of the select few to receive an invitation to the anticipated wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince William in April. Haley owns the Old Boot Inn located in Stanford Dingley. Kate Middleton grew up in the neighborhood and she sent him an invitation since she frequented the pub regularly as she grew up. The pub was even one of the inital places that Prince William and Kate Middleton dated when they first met each other.

Talking to the Daily Mirror in Britain, Haley said that he was pleasantly surprised to have received the invitation. He said that he had known Kate and her family for several years. The royal wedding will undoubtedly be one of the biggest events in 2011. Since Prince William and Kate announced the date for their wedding, there has been so much buzz about it. In all about 1900 dignitaries from all over the world are expected to attend the ceremony.

John would witness the wedding live but he says he would not be at the reception because he would be having his own reception at his pub.
