Once again, 50 contestants from all the United States have gathered at the Hollywood Casino Resort Las Vegas, from where, one of them would be emerging as Miss America 2011.
This year’s event would be hosted by none other than the two most popular hosts in the American television, namely, Brooke Burke of “Dancing With The Stars” and Chris Harrison of “The Bachelor”. Art McMaster, the president of Miss America Organization said that the entire team is quite excited to work with Brooke Burke, and wants her to join them for the 90th annual event of this esteemed beauty competition. He has warmly welcomed her in the Miss America ‘family’, and hopes that she would mark an important milestone for the event. However, if the guests are popular, then the contestant are no less talented. 17-year-old Miss Nebraska, Teresa Scanlan, may be the youngest contestant but she bagged the talent competition with her melodious piano tunes. These are the three preliminary competition that has already taken place. The rest of the competitions are eagerly awaited for tonight. The age gap of the contestant vary between 17 to 24.
Teri Galvez, director of the D.C. pageant, said that this year there are many pretty girls, who are actually glamorous and are less like “Girl Next Door”. The contender who is considered to be one of the front runners to win the pageant is Miss Virginia, Caitlin Uze. Even last year, Miss Virginia Caressa Cameron, bagged the final title and many sources say that this year too, her successor might hail from the same state.
