NBC Wins Friday Ratings Race In Part To ‘Dateline’, Plus ABC’s ‘Jamie Oliver’ Finale

On a Friday where there was just four original shows on the plate, it was NBC who won the night overall in the coveted adult s18-49 demographic, scoring a 1.1 with 4.59 million viewers, beating ABC’s 3.47 million and 0.9, CBS’s 0.8 and 5.71 million (the first in that demo), FOX’s 2.49 million and 0.8 demo and CW’s 1.45 million and 0.5 demo.

NBC went with Friday Night Lights at 8PM, drawing 2.97 million and a 0.8 demo, identical to last week, and a two-hour edition of Dateline NBC, bringing in 6.31 million viewers and a 1.5 demo. Dateline was up 14% in total viewers and 13% in the demo compared to last week’s two-hour episode (6.31 million, 1.5). ABC aired a rerun of Shark Tank at 8PM, 3.86 million and 1.0 demo, the season finale of Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution, 2.58 million and a 0.8 demo — up 80,000 viewers last week’s episode — and a new 20/20, 3.98 million and a 1.0 demo. 20/20 was up 19% in total viewers and 10% in total viewers compared to last week (3.21 million, 0.9).

CBS aired reruns of Flashpoint, 5.30 million and 0.8, CSI: NY, 5.91 million and 0.9, and Blue Bloods, 5.92 million and a 0.8 demo. FOX went with reruns of Bones, 2.87 million and a 0.8 demo, and House, 2.31 million and a 0.8. The CW aired reruns of Smallville, 1.41 million and a 0.4 demo, and Supernatural, 1.49 million and a 0.5 demo.
