Former Spice Girl and the host of The X-Factor, Melanie Brown, says that her daughter Phoenix has named her newborn daughter that she gave birth to on Thursday. However, the Twitter post didn’t drop any indication as to what the baby’s name is.
“My daughter Phoenix wants to pick her sisters baby name,so fingers crossed she picks a good one,” she said in a tweet shortly following giving birth in Los Angeles on Thursday.
On Saturday, she announced that 12-year-old Phoenix, from Brown’s previous relationship with Jimmy Gulzar, had finally come to a decision — but left us on the edge of our seats waiting for the name to be dropped. “Phoenix has named our baby girl the cutest name, can’t wait for you guys to hear it, soon ma peeps!!” she said.
Brown released a few details about giving birth on the social media website Friday. “Finally our baby arrives, [her husband] Stephen [Belafonte] nearly passed out, Phoenix screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!” Brown said. “I am SOOOOOO blessed my heart is melting!!”
Brown’s good friend and former fellow Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham, also took to Brown’s Twitter account to congratulate her on the new addition to the family. “Congratulations to @OfficialMelB!! love, David, Victoria, Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and baby Harper x VB,” Beckham said Saturday.
The little unnamed baby girl joins Brown’s other two daughters: the aforementioned Phoenix and three-year-old Angel Iris from a previous relationship with Eddie Murphy.
