Arnold Schwarzenegger and his wife of 25 years, Maria Shriver, have split. However, coming off of a marriage that had twists and turns that Shriver didn’t see coming — such as her husband father a child 13 years ago and recently just telling her about it earlier this year — being married to a movie star of a different political ideology, and coming from a Kennedy family has big dollar signs in front of book publishers, who have apparently reaching out to Shriver to write a memoir about her life.
A publishing executive that talked to Radar says that if Shriver decides to write a book chronicling her life, it could become one of the best selling books of all time and that she would receive a nice sum of $15 million for her efforts — which would be more than the previous record profit earned by former President Bill Clinton for his memoir, My Life.
As for the divorce filed by Shriver yesterday, her husband and former Governor of California was aware of Shriver filing the divorce as she told him about it before she decided to file it in a Los Angeles court. It comes two months after it became public knowledge that Schwarzenegger fathered a child with his housekeeper over 13 years ago. Shriver is seeking shared custody of their children Patrick, 17, and Christopher, 13. The couple also has a couple of daughters about the ages of 18: Katherine, 21, and Christina, 20.
