Matthew Fox allegedly got himself into a physical altercation with a party bus driver named Heather Bormann over the weekend, with the woman now saying that she’s likely pressing charges against the former Lost actor.
The 29-year-old driver said that Fox tried to board a private party bus outside a bar in Cleveland on Saturday, but he was not welcomed because he wasn’t a guest. The driver refused to have him board the bus, and she alleges that the 45-year-old punched her in the chest and stomach after she denied him entry. Bormann says she then decided to punch him back in self defense, causing him to receive a busted lip, a police report says.
Bormann notes that she didn’t know who Fox was at the time of the incident, according to an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “Even before [the police officer] told me who he was, I intended to pursue this. His first punch landed on my crotch, and his second punch hit my breast. I really felt violated,” she said after the occurrence.
“I told him he was trespassing,” she said. “He never once said anything. He just looked at me with his mouth open – then he leaned in and started swinging on me.” She also noted that Fox smelled “like a bar.”
Shortly after the incident, an off-duty officer handcuffed the actor and was taken into custody, but police note that he wasn’t arrested. Bormann will be talking to prosecutors today about pressing charges.
“I don’t care that he is a celebrity,” Bormann said after the alleged occurrence. “Assault is against the law.”
