Lindsay Lohan’s Lawyer ‘Pleased’ With Court Proceedings; Will Lohan Face Jail Anyway?

Written by Michael Lambarde on Mar. 10, 2011

Lindsay Lohan and her lawyer made their way to cour today in order to schedule a preliminary hearing for April 22, 2011. The judge in charge of the case, Judge Keith Schwartz, told Lohan and her lawyer that he was giving them an interim hearing through March 25th. She will have until that date to let the judge know if she will accept the plea deal, plead guilty or give a no contest.

“The only reason you’ll be here is to plead guilty or no contest to the charge and accept the parameters of the court’s offer,” Schwartz said. “If you and your attorney decide not to settle this case before prelim, you do not have to appear on March 25.”

Lohan’s lawyer, Shawn Holly, told Us Magazine that she was “pleased” that her motion to get more time was granted. “Events are constantly evolving, it is a fluid process,” she said.

To us, it seems that Lohan is just buying time and she will eventually be facing jail no matter what she pleads when she heads back to the LA court later this month. What do you think?
