The father of the popular classical piano group “The 5 Browns” based in Utah, Keith Scott Brown, admitted on Thursday that he had sexually abused his three daughters when they were younger in the 1990s. His three daughters were also there in the Provo, Utah courtroom watching their father give his plead. His three daughters had previously accused him of sexual abuse when it was happening, but it reportedly went on afterward without Brown being charged.

The daughters, Melody Brown, Deondra Brown and Desirae Brown, who are now 26, 30 and 32 years old, respectively, decided to call the police to accuse their father of sexual abuse that occurred sporadically from 1990 to 1998 when they learned Keith was planning to manage other child musicians.

The 55 year-old was charged with one count of first-degree felony sodomy upon a child and two counts of second-degree felony sexual abuse of a child. Keith faces ten years to life behind bars. Sentencing is scheduled for March. In addition to his three daughters, their two brothers Ryan and Gregory were also part of the “Five Browns” musical ensemble.
