Despite their public stance on their relationship within the media, there is no question that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are dating and are deeply in love. As if the Hawaii-filled PDA photos and Bieber taking Gomez to meet his parents in Canada wasn’t a good indicator, there is no news that the two shared those words out in public — “I love you”. Bieber is reportedly the person who first blirted it out.
The exchange happened while they were in New York City shopping at the Armani Exchange store on 51st and Fifth Avenue on Tuesday. A source told HollywoodLife.com that “Justin and Selena were holding hands as they shopped and said ‘I love you’ to each other not once, but several times in public. Everyone could hear them. I guess they want to share their love with the world. They were at the store about 5:30 p.m. and stayed for about 20 minutes or so.”
Just days before that, Gomez was seen at a mall promoting her new movie Monte Carlo, and wearing at least one dog tag that had Bieber’s initials “JB” inscribed in them, reportedly given to her by Bieber himself. Bieber, however, is trying to publicly distance himself from Gomez as his core, younger female audience is upset with him being linked with anyone. Talking to a local New Zealnd television program, Bieber proclaimed that he was “dating around”, and said that Gomez is just “one of [his] best friends”. He added, “I think that’s an important thing in my life is dating around and having some sort of a personal life.”
