‘Friday’ Singer Rebecca Black: Nearly In Tears Over Cyber Bullying

Written by Michael Lambarde on Mar. 19, 2011

This past week, Rebecca Black’s song that was posted on Youtube went viral for all the wrong reasons — many called it the worst song in history, not only for the lyrics, but the video itself. Talking this morning to ABC’s Good Morning America, 13-year-old Black admitted that she cried over the comments that many left for one of her first songs.

“Those hurtful comments really shocked me,” Black, 13, tells the Daily Beast. “At times, it feels like I’m being cyberbullied.” As for what she thought was the worst of the worst comments directed toward her, she said this one took the cake: “‘I hope you cut yourself, and I hope you’ll get an eating disorder so you’ll look pretty,’” Black said on GMA. “When I first saw all the nasty comments, I did cry … I don’t think I’m the worst singer, but I don’t think I’m the best.”
