‘Friday’ Hitmaker Rebecca Black To Release A Whole Album – Details

Written by Michael Lambarde on Mar. 21, 2011

Youtube sensation Rebecca Black — who made headlines over the past week with her song “Friday,” which was dubbed by many as being the “worst song ever” is not done yet. This past weekend, Black — who’s Twitter page has grown by nearly 90% since her 15 minutes of fame began — revealed that she was working on not only a brand new song, but a new album, which is set to be released in December of 2012. Good for her, but will her fame last for the remainder of the month, let alone 21 months?

On her Twitter page, Black wrote, “We’re currently writing another song…it does not have to do with weekdays, or months, or numbers or colors. Throwin’ that out there.” As we noted yesterday, the music video that was produced and became a viral hit was made in part to the Ark Music Factory, who puts out music videos out for teenagers like Black, 13, who get money in exchange for a music video. In Black’s case, her money gave the company $2,000.

For those of you keeping track of how many people that have viewed Black’s “Friday” and laughed at the lyrics, currently the video has gone from 0 views over a week ago to near 28 million currently. Do you think her 15 minutes will last until December 2012, though, or do you think this would be the time to cash in since she is in the spotlight now?
