Did ‘Lost’ Star, 51, Really Wed 16-Year-Old, Or Is It A Publicity Stunt?

Written by Michael Lambarde on Jun. 21, 2011

Earlier today, we reported a story that Doug Hutchison of The Green Mile and Lost fame recently married in Las Vegas despite the 35 year difference — Hutchison is 51 and his beauty pageant and aspiring country singing wife, Courtney Alexis Stodden, is 16-years-old. The two reportedly met because Stodden is signed on with Hutchison’s production company, Dark Water.

Instantly, critics criticized the couple and looked to the laws in Las Vegas to see whether the marriage is legal or not considering Stodden’s age. However, no need to look forward as it is indeed legal. Marriage laws in Vegas state that anyone under the age of 18 must get parental consent. And since the two got married at the end of May, Stodden got the approval from at least one of her parents.

However, since the story has leaked, many are questioning whether Stodden is really 16-years-old. Not only does the blonde have a collection of rather mature country videos, but a modeling website discovered by Celebuzz claims that Stodden is 17-years-old — and on top of that, there is no word on when the page was published or last updated. For all we know, the page may have been up for years.

On top of that, Stodden has rather impressive “stats” for being just 16-years-old — the site says that she has a figure of 36-23-34, is 5’3 and weighs in at just 96 pounds. But why would she possibly be lying about her age? Perhaps to drum up publicity for her career — she had to know that being linked to a C-list, at best, celebrity, people would be interested in the story and it can possibly jump start her young (or maybe not) country career.
