Details Behind ‘Friday’ Single By Rebecca Black, Says She Wants To Duet With Bieber

Rebecca Black, who became an overnight sensation on Youtube, going from 0 views to over 16 million as of the time of this posting. However, people weren’t viewing the video because it was great, many people were watching it over and over again because many considered it the “worst song ever,” even though the girl is just 13-years-old.

As it turns out, the song produced by Ark Music Factory, who works with young teens to release their own music videos. As for the lyrics of the song, she admitted that she didn’t write all the lyrics for the song. “‘Friday’ is about hanging out with friends, having fun. I felt like it was my personality in that song,” she told Us Magazine.

Clarence Jey, an executive for Ark Music admitted that what we saw from the viral music video wasn’t a good indication of her singing ability, saying, “Rebecca Black is actually [an] amazing singer [with] a unique tone and a fantastic fun person.” Black added, “I want to show people there’s more to me than they think.”

Black had one of her first mainstream interviews following the song went viral on Good Morning America Friday morning, saying that she was cyber-bullied from critics of the song. One of the worst comments sent to her was the following: “‘I hope you cut yourself, and I hope you’ll get an eating disorder so you’ll look pretty.’ When I first saw all the nasty comments, I did cry … I don’t think I’m the worst singer, but I don’t think I’m the best.”

As for her future, she isn’t done quite yet. “I am in love with Justin Bieber. [A duet] would make my life,” she gushed to GMA. “I have Bieber fever!”
