Chaos Breaks Out At Justin Bieber Autograph Signing

Written by Michael Lambarde on Jun. 23, 2011

An incident occurred today at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City today, which is now being cited as a “misunderstanding”. Apparently, Bieber appeared indoors to sign autographs for fans who purchased his new perfume called “Someday”, but things quickly went south when he went outside to sign autographs for fans who weren’t able to come inside. At one point, a man seemingly “attacked” Bieber, and Bieber’s security team brought the man down, protecting Bieber.

However, after the commotion was settled, it was determined that the man didn’t “attack” Bieber, but rather he was protecting him from the chaos of the fans looking to get his autograph which almost caused a stampede. The man himself was actually an undercover police officer. Shortly after the incident, the police officer spoke to TMZ saying that he was actually trying to protect Bieber and that he identified himself to Bieber’s security team, but they ignored him. However, things seem to have now settled down after the credentials of the officer have been cleared by Bieber’s team — he was originally given a citation for disorderly conduct.
