President Barack Obama’s favorite NFL team, the Chicago Bears, may be out of the Super Bowl picture tonight, but he is still set to enjoy the much-anticipated Super Bowl championship at the White House, accompanied with a number of celebrities. The guest list of those who would be attending the Super Bowl party at the White House scheduled to take place this Sunday, includes ‘American Idol’ judge Jennifer Lopez, her husband singer Marc Anthony as well as a host of other personalities from both the teams’ home states, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.
According to a White House spokesperson, as many as 100 guests have been invited to attend the Super Bowl XLV party which includes, various Congress members, celebrities, family and friends of the U.S. first couple as well as the staff at the White House. While Jennifer Lopez and her husband singer Marc Anthony would be surely adding to star power at the White House party on Sunday, the other noted personalities expected to grace the event include Attorney General Eric Holder, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Wisconsin Congressman Reid Ribble, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz, Jim Doyle, the former Wisconsin Governor, to name a few.
When the Super Bowl XLV takes place on Sunday with the much-awaited showdown between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, its seems unlikely that President Barack Obama would be backing any of the two teams as his home team Chicago Bears failed to make it to the championship finals after it was defeated by the Packers in the NFC title game.
