“You’re so much more to me than a leap of faith. You’re the one, Em. I love you; you’re my once in a lifetime. I’m asking you to give me your forever. Please let me be your best friend, let me protect you and your beautiful daughter and please give me the opportunity to love you for the rest of your life,” Bachelor Brad Womack admitted to Emily Maynard this past Monday night on the season finale of ABC’s The Bachelor. He chose her over runner-up Chantal O’Brien.
However, while the scenes on the reality series may have shed some tears for the viewers at home that wanted the season in its entirety in Womack’s second appearance on the series, the two are having a myriad of problems coming out of the finale. It should be noted that the finale that aired on Monday was taped months ago.
Since Maynard had the opportunity to watch the season over, she admitted to People that she grew jealous and upset with Womack after seeing scenes of him confessing his love with the other woman contestants on the series. During the After the Rose special that aired after the finale, Womack admitted that “it’s just been a tough go” and Maynard admitted that they have more to go through before they moved in together: “Right now, in this instant, I love you, but no. I’m being honest. We have some things we need to figure out. Could I move to Austin today? No.”
“The hardest part is behind us,” Maynard revealed to People Magazine She continues, “I feel pretty confident if we can make it through [the past three months], we can make it through.”
