The Democratic Congresswoman from the state of Arizona, Gabrielle Giffords, is now being listed as being in “good condition” by doctors, and has moved to a rehabilitation center just three short weeks after being shot in the head by twenty two year old crazed gunman who injured eighteen and took the lives of six others in the tragedy. The critical gunshot wounds was sustained by Giffords in the shooting, and she was rushed to a Houston hospital, where she has continued to stun the nation, as well as her doctors. It truly is a miraculous story of strength.

Today, she was moved to the ‘TIRR Memorial Hermann’ rehab center where she will undergo full rehab, beginning immediately. Despite the fact that the shooting occurred in front of many witnesses, the gunman has pleaded not guilty to charges of attempting to assassinate Congresswoman Gifford and two aides. He will also face federal murder charges on the deaths.

The following lives were lost in the tragedy: 30-year-old Gabriel Zimmerman, Gabrielle Gifford’s staffer; 9-year-old Christina Greene, student at Mesa Verde Elementary School; 63-year-old John Roll, Chief Federal District Court Judge; 76-year-old Dorthy Morris; 79-year-old Phylis Scheck; and 76-year-old Dorwin Stoddard, pastor of Mountain Avenue Church of Christ
