‘American Idol’ Contestant Casey Abrams Hospitalized, To Be Back Next Week

Casey Abrams, 19, a current contestant on FOX’s hit reality series ‘American Idol’, has reportedly been rushed to the hospital. Although the initial details are sketchy, Casey was rushed to the hospital after he complained that he felt sick. He stayed in the hospital overnight to be evaluated by doctors.

Casey missed this past Wednesday’s show as a result of being hospitalized. TMZ reports that the show’s producers would allow Casey to tape his performance on Friday if he can. Casey is considered one of the front runners to win the whole season. His performance caught the attention of the judges and he is currently in the Top 24 list. He is expected to return to the reality series next week.

TV Squad reports that the deadline that has been given to Casey would not be extended beyond Friday. According to the website if Casey is not well by then, he would be eliminated from the competition. American Idol is arguably the most successful television show in the world. The show has been running for 10 seasons now and has produced wide array of star over the period.
