A 4.1 Magnitude Earthquake Hits San Francisco Bay

An earthquake with the magnitude of 4.1 on the Richter scale occurred late last night in San Francisco Bay, California, followed by the aftershocks of 2.6 degrees, with no report damage or casualties, U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The U.S. Geological Survey placed the epicenter near San Jose, about 85 miles south of San Francisco. The dependence placed the epicenter near San Jose, about 85 miles south of San Francisco, and stated that the movement occurred at about 16:10 local time (00:10 GMT Saturday). The mouth area is the San Andreas Fault, which reaches Bay municipality of Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.
